Led by Lorri Field and Tony Valintinetti, PDC Law had previously provided a full service offering in the property space. After restructuring their business to focus on property law, commercial law and litigation, the directors wanted to refine their brand to better represent their core business.
Beans began by conducting an in depth analysis of their business and service offering to form a robust brand messaging structure. One of the key differences PDC Law offers to their customers is fixed fee pricing to give certainty and reassurance. The expertise of the directors and their teams in their respective fields allows PDC Law to propose legal solutions and costs with confidence. And so, confidence formed the platform for PDC Law’s brand messaging.
PDC Law had changed significantly in their offering and so the brand needed to reflect this shift in focus. Beans did exactly that, redesigning the existing logo and brand to demonstrate the refined offering. We also introduced a more considered typography, Degular, which reflects the expertise and forward-thinking approach PDC Law have toward the legal profession. Degular appears traditional and predictable, it’s hard working and straightforward, yet there are a suite of unique design features that set it apart from other sans serif typefaces.
All of these elements came together to form a more considered and minimalist design language for the PDC Law brand. We introduced guidelines for use of colour, which helped to establish the tone for the final brand.
We then rolled out these recommendations across their brand and marketing assets including:
Website design: copywriting and key messaging, web design concepts
Corporate stationery: design of email signatures, letterheads, business cards
Office signage: design, artwork, signwriter management
Strategy: recommended activities such as events and content creation
